Dr. Hernandez earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mount St. Mary's University, Master of Art in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University, a Master in Business Administration from Capella University, and her Doctor of Psychology from Ryokan College.
She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 46641) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 1471) in the state of California and a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist in the state of Texas (LMFT 204281). Dr. Hernandez is currently a Psychologist Assistant (PSB94025080) pending exam for licensure with the California Board of Psychology.
Dr. Hernandez specializes in trauma, complex trauma and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Dr. Hernandez manages a team of 40+ providers to ensure that all the teams backgrounds work in tandem to support the mental health needs of our clients and our communities.
Dr. Aragon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University Fullerton, Master of Social Work from California State University Long Beach, a Master of Business Administration from Capella University, and her Doctor of Social Work from Capella University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW 28038) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 1086) in California, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado (CSW.09924742) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas (LCSW 108336). Dr. Aragon holds a human resources management certificate from California State University Fullerton, and is a certified case manager through the Commission for Case Manager Certification.

As Clinical Director, Wendy is passionate about educating and training staff, who work with individuals who have experienced trauma and other stressors. Wendy’s goal in the therapeutic setting is to treat the whole person, to help the individual explore resources and find effective ways of healing.
Wendy offers specialization and clinical experience in helping adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, emotional issues that translate to behavioral issues, perinatal, postpartum, parenting struggles, marital struggles, grief/loss, self-esteem and post-traumatic stress disorder. For over a decade, Wendy has been dedicated to assisting individuals find and reach their full potential.
Edith Resnedez has over 30 years experience in the medical industry. Her expertise has primarily been in front and back medical office management. Personal medical assistant to physicians specialising in nephrology. As she progressed through her career, she became a Patient Care Technician and managed the dialysis care of patients in Texas and then in California. She later transitioned into medical billing and has been the with Hernandez Counseling & Associates in her capacity for the last 6 years.
Mayra Contreras has extensive experience in front and back office management at a dental industry. She has recently graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and plans on continuing her education and training. Her broad knowledge of office management combined with psychology allow her to connect with staff and clients and provide the best service possible. Mayra's upcoming endeavours include facilitating psycho-educational groups for the agency to begin to enhance her career in psychology.
Carlos Hernandez has extensive experience in customer care and facilities management. He has over 22 years working for the Sleep Number Corporation as a technician and over 15 years in food distribution for acute and non-acute care facilities throughout Los Angeles County. Carlos expertise in customer care and his technical skills have allowed him to offer supportive services to the agency and maintain a siren environment for our clients and staff. Carlos takes pride in the appearance and maintenance of the offices to ensure that the clients are entering into a peaceful environment that is conducive to healing and growth.
